No reason to jump around and act like you own the place in a 3 man scramble from near the ladies tees and act like there's a fire. Hope the best for Gordy but on a weekend with all the " locals" doing their thing, maybe hire an old timer to keep an eye on the play. Wish there was a ranger, really the only complaint because the course had so much character for its age and the value received was very fair. Totally no etiquette and ruined our attitude the whole back nine. Altnough an older threesome it was like they owned the course and were absolutely not following us after making the turn and were " jumping" from wherever the heck they played their last hole. Ok here's the real downer, a few 3 man scramble golfers ran up behind us on the tenth tee and were right on our butts downright disrupting a nice round by the wife and I. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. Designed by Bruce Matthews III, Timber Wolf Golf Club measures 6451 yards from the longest tees. Although an older course it was fun on a warm humid Sunday bafternoon. The 18-hole Timber Wolf Golf Club in Kalkaska, MI is a public golf course that opened in 1997. The positives, very good character and unusual holes without being super tricked up, quite a bit of elevation change and some memorable holes. $37 each and showed about 6600 yards from the tips with a 133 slope so I thought what the heck should be fun although no bent grass fairways and average tee box conditions. Had read two guys who golf review and it was a go. We spoke to Gord in the staging area and was very personable and has owned the course 15 years. Gordy answered the phone and set up a tee time at Timber wolf. Actually called Grandview but due to the heavy storms only 9 open there. Was on way back from Gaylord and was to meet family in Traverse late afternoon. Played today 7/19/20 Sunday around noon start after heavy thunderstorms in the am.
